Very Light Rail (VLR) is a disruptive technology solution for the rail industry with the vision to deliver lightweight, energy efficient rail vehicles with low manufacturing and operational costs.

Compared to conventional heavy rail, Very Light Rail delivers a smarter, greener and more cost-effective transport solution. With reduced infrastructure requirements, fewer operational resources and smaller maintenance teams, deployment is faster and more economical. Powered by TDI Greenway’s proprietary battery technology and sustainable materials, the system provides zero-emission operation, while vehicles can be manufactured and brought into service in almost half the time of traditional rail systems.
